Press-shows in students' forums.

The author brings into question the place taken by press in the organization of services concerning students' information. Leaving aside the well-known part of publishers and co-publishers by which the press usually carries its points about education into the public opinion, the article analyses how and why the press takes its own share in a new form of communication : students' forums. It is certainly important for the press to secure a good number of readers among the 18-25 year-olds thus setting fast the last link of a publishing chain going through the whole school period, competition between publishers is a good motive for those promotional activities which spread in the educational sector as well as in an agent in trading relations. Finally for other political actors carrying on their educational policies, such as the « Conseils généraux », forums become a kind of marketing place where users can be treated as clients, where an auto-Iaudatory discourse is practised under cover of consumers interests : giving satisfaction to demands is no longer the common duty of representatives but the particular wish of satisfying clients. A trend is here denounced by the writer who thinks that the government supports it, even though it brings tensions, chiefly with the responsibles of public education who used to be in charge of information.
