RESUME : Cette communication rend compte de la façon dont la structuration mémorielle de la Résistance, qui a été le fait de quelques-uns, recoupe certaines logiques qui président aux donations et aux médiations réalisées en musée autour d'objets évoquant la Résistance. Elle fait notamment ressortir l'importance de l'association entre les objets présentés et le résistant auquel ils ont appartenu. Ainsi, lorsque le donateur est un descendant du résistant, le don s'apparente à un transfert de légitimité à tenir un discours à propos de l'objet dans la sphère publique. Et, lorsque le résistant est lui-même le donateur, il garde la parole, et peut réaliser en personne la médiation. Dans tous les cas, c'est le vécu du résistant et l'exemplarité de son attitude qui donnent de l'épaisseur à l'objet. Ces médiations se distinguent de celles des collectionneurs d'objets de la Première Guerre mondiale, qui s'appuient, elles, sur un travail documentaire qui vise à faire sortir les soldats de l'anonymat.

ABSTRACT : DONATIONS, MEDIATIONS AND TESTIMONIALS: INVESTIGATION IN MUSEUMS DEVOTED TO THE RESISTANCE This presentation reports on the way in which the structural organisation of memories of the Resistance, as addressed by a number of individuals, ties in with various logics governing donations and mediations in a museum context with regard to objects evoking the Resistance. In particular, it highlights the importance of associating the objects presented with the member of the resistance to whom they belonged. Thus, when the donor is a descendant of the resistance member, the donation can be seen as transferring the legitimacy to talk about the object in the public domain. And, when the donor is the member of the resistance himself, he remains the spokesperson and can carry out the mediation in person. In any event, it is the experience of the resistance member and the exemplary nature of their attitude which give the object depth. These mediations can be distinguished from those involving collectors of World War 1 objects, which are based on documentary work, aiming to restore the identity of anonymous soldiers.

OVERZICHT : SCHENKINGEN, BEMIDDELINGEN, GETUIGENISSEN: ONDERZOEK IN HET MUSÉE DE LA RÉSISTANCE In deze mededeling wordt uiteengezet hoe enkele mensen het geheugen van het Verzet in een structuur hebben gegoten, en hieruit vloeiden enkele redeneringswijzen voort die aan de basis liggen van de schenkingen en bemiddelingen die in het museum werden gerealiseerd in verband met voorwerpen die aan het Verzet kunnen worden gelinkt. Hieruit blijkt onder meer duidelijk hoe belangrijk het is om de link te leggen tussen de voorgestelde voorwerpen en de verzetsstrijder aan wie ze toebehoorden. Als de schenker een afstammeling is van een verzetsstrijder, dan gaat het om een wettelijke overdracht en heeft hij het recht om in de publieke sfeer over het voorwerp te spreken. Als de verzetsstrijder zelf een schenker is, krijgt hij het woord en kan hij zelf voor de bemiddeling instaan. In ieder geval krijgt het voorwerp zijn diepste beleving van de verzetsstrijder en het exemplarische karakter van zijn houding. Deze bemiddelingen onderscheiden zich van die van de verzamelaars van voorwerpen uit de Eerste Wereldoorlog die het resultaat zijn van documentatiewerk dat soldaten uit de anonimiteit moet halen.
