RESUME : La notion de mémoire - largement polysémique, ambivalente, voire problématique en sciences sociales - est appréhendée dans cette communication comme un ensemble de savoirs, de savoir-faire, de compétences et de représentations symboliques acquis, détenus et partagés dans le cadre d'une pratique ou d'une activité sociale. L'objectif de cette présentation est double : d'une part, de rendre compte de la richesse, de la diversité et de la spécificité de la mémoire observée dans le cadre du projet TEMUSE, et d'autre part, d'analyser les enjeux de sa pérennisation et sa transmission. Pour ce faire, nous nous intéresserons d'abord à la mémoire des collectionneurs et médiateurs d'objets de la Grande Guerre rencontrés et interviewés pour le projet TEMUSE. Nous montrerons que leur mémoire en lien avec les objets collectionnés se décline sous différentes formes, inhérentes à la pratique de la collection (mémoire de l'objet, de l'humain derrière l'objet, du territoire en lien avec l'objet, du processus de documentation de l'objet, de la collection, de la pratique du collectionnisme d'objets de la Première Guerre, etc.), et à la pratique de l'exposition et de la médiation d'objets dans les musées (mémoire de la mise en scène de l'objet, de l'exposition, du lieu de l'exposition et de la médiation, des dispositifs de médiation, des formes communicationnelles de la médiation, du processus communicationnel de la médiation, etc.). Dans un deuxième temps, notre analyse portera sur la mémoire du projet TEMUSE, constituée au fil de sa réalisation, à travers la collecte du corpus d'étude (composé de témoignages de collectionneurs et médiateurs), son analyse et la valorisation des résultats de cette analyse.

ABSTRACT : PRESERVATION AND TRANSMISSION OF "MEMORIES" AND THEIR UNIQUE FEATURES WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF THE TEMUSE PROJECT. The notion of memory - largely polysemous, ambivalent and even problematic in social sciences - is understood in this intervention as a body of knowledge, know-how, skills and symbolic representations acquired, held and shared within the framework of a social activity or practice. The objective of the presentation is two-fold: on the one hand, to provide an account of the richness, diversity and uniqueness of memory observed within the framework of the TEMUSE project and, on the other, to analyse the challenges of sustainability and transmission. To do so, we will look firstly at the memory of collectors and mediators of objects from the Great War met and interviewed for the TEMUSE project. We will demonstrate that their memories relating to the objects collected take a variety of different forms, inherent to the practice of collecting (memory of the object, of the human behind the object, of the area linked to the object, of the process of documenting the object, of the collection, of the practice of collecting WWI objects, etc.), and the practice of exhibiting and mediating the objects in museums (memory of staging the object, of the exhibition, of the exhibition space and mediation, mediation devices, communicational forms of mediation, communicational process of mediation, etc.). The second part of our analysis will look at the memory of the TEMUSE project, constituted over its duration, through the collection of subject matter for the study (consisting of testimonials from collectors and mediators), its analysis and optimal use of the findings.

OVERZICHT : BEHOUD EN OVERDRACHT VAN DE "HERINNERING" EN DE EIGENHEDEN DAARVAN IN HET KADER VAN HET TEMUSE-PROJECT. Het begrip geheugen - dat in de sociale wetenschappen zeer veel betekenissen heeft en ambivalent en zelfs problematisch is - wordt in deze mededeling opgevat als een geheel van kennis, knowhow, bekwaamheden en symbolische vertegenwoordigingen die verworven, bewaard en gedeeld worden in het kader van een praktijk of sociale activiteit. Deze uiteenzetting heeft een tweevoudige doelstelling: enerzijds inzicht verschaffen in de rijkdom, diversiteit en eigenheid van het geheugen dat in het kader van het TEMUSE-project wordt geobserveerd, maar anderzijds ook het belang van de verduurzaming en de overdracht daarvan te analyseren. Met het oog hierop bestuderen we in eerste instantie het geheugen van de verzamelaars en bemiddelaars van voorwerpen uit de Eerste Wereldoorlog die we voor het TEMUSE-project hebben ontmoet en ondervraagd. We zullen aantonen dat hun geheugen in verband met de verzamelde voorwerpen verschillende vormen kan aannemen die eigen zijn aan het verzamelen (het voorwerp zelf, de mens achter het voorwerp, het grondgebied in verband met het voorwerp, het documenteringsproces van het voorwerp, de verzameling, het collectionisme van voorwerpen uit de Eerste Wereldoorlog, enz.), maar ook aan de manier waarop de voorwerpen in de musea worden tentoongesteld en bemiddeld (enscenering van het voorwerp, tentoonstelling, plaats van tentoonstelling en bemiddeling, bemiddelingsinstrumenten, communicatievormen en communicatieproces van de bemiddeling, enz.). In een tweede instantie gaat onze analyse over het geheugen van het TEMUSE-project, dat wordt opgebouwd naarmate het project vordert, door het verzamelen van het studievoorwerp (bestaande uit getuigenissen van verzamelaars en bemiddelaars), de analyse daarvan en de valorisatie van de resultaten van deze analyse.
