Abstract : The “Agrégation” in mechanics : the progressive establishment of a discipline This article stems from a research that studies the evolution of mechanics, a discipline of secondary education. It focuses in particular on the development of a content, which is a component of the mechanics : the Automatic and Industrial Informatics (IIA), through the examination of the full corpus of official instructions and reports of jury of the “agrégation [1]” in mechanics (AM). A didactic point of view is mobilized to account changing designations, functions and references of the IIA. It is also to characterize the relationship between the constructed image of the IIA in the reports of the jury, as a genre of writing, and the IIA in the industrial practices taken as references.
