M2 = C2 ? Le CECR, un outil pour penser la place du français dans la construction universitaire européenne

Abstract : The paper sets out to highlight pedagogical landmark for research on the CEFR, which could reinforce the situation of the French language in university teaching in Europe. The main part of this article presents the results of a cross-questionnaire, based on the CEFR : we asked native and non-native speakers of French enrolled in the international Master programme 1 and 2 to auto-evaluate their language competences concerning writing university reports ; furthermore we questioned their respective university teachers as for their standards of report evaluation. The analysis leads to the conclusion that, in order to reinforce the development of the language competences in French at academic level, specific pedagogical means, like a tailored auto-evaluation tool (portfolio POLCA), should be carried out.
