Abstract : This article falls in the field of the pedagogy of teaching French, especially in the field of teaching French on academic objectives and is interested in the speech that take international students on their writing practices argued in French and difficulties they encounter during the effectuation of this task. Argumentative text is a written reasoned iconic linked to obtaining the diploma initiating the drafting of the essay, kind of writing often required in France, especially in the universities in social sciences and humanities. As academic requirements differ from one culture to another, this work is sometimes difficult for allophone students not accustomed to this type of academic writing identified as typically French. What are the difficulties reported by these students declared on writing argumentative essays? What are the difficulties found during the analysis of textual production ?
