ENTRE COLONIALISME ET MÉTISSAGE CULTUREL : LEDA RAFANELLI, ANARCHISTE ET MUSULMANE

Abstract : This article relate the human, cultural and artistic way of Leda Rafanelli, a great anarchist figure in Italy at XX° century. Feminist, publisher, writer, she convert to islam during a travel to Egypt. She wasn’t a regular muslim, until fascism prevent her political and social action. Then, she became a very fervent muslim and she identify herself with peoples who were oppressed by colonialism. Unfortunately, her try of identification with muslim peoples fail, basically because of her lack of understanding about this culture so different. Furthermore, Rafanelli wasn’t able to avoid folklore and stereotypes who was so typical at this age. But no one before her in Italy try to take sides of the Others, people who was anyway considered inferior. She try to carry out a cultural melting-pot who, even unsuccessful, maybe made way for understanding and tolerance for not-Western peoples.
